Hi all, firstly, apologies for not being able to converse in Dutch, I'm Mark from the UK and I stumbled across this site whilst looking for images of SS50's.
I currently have two SS50's, a zk1-e which I finished restoring two years ago, and an SS50e, which is under restoration. It will be finished in the spring.
Here is the zk1-e, first picture with the 72cc motor fitted, second picture with its 85cc motor, 3rd & 4th pics showing it currently sporting a Lifan 110 top end.

Thanks skodas, I will update with progress. This is a good site - I didn't realise there was as much interest in the little Hondas in Holland.

Hi, welcome! Most Dutch speak, write and understand English quite well, so the language isn't an issue. Just post about your Honda's and keep June 16th free in your agenda. Your UK friends are of course also welcome to post.

Is it a motorcycle instead of a moped?

I only rode the 'e' once, back in October when I purchased it. It wasn't very good as the carburetter had a blockage. I just wanted to check what worked and what didn't before I dismantled it.
The zk1-e is sweet, the 110 motor has a lot of torque but maximum revs are only around 7500 due to the small valves and soft camshaft of the Lifan cylinder head. It will still do 100+km/h on the level road, but I'm working on an engine combination that will let me use a 6v 70 cylinder head and a domed piston. This will hopefully let the engine rev more freely as the valves are larger and I can use the S65 camshaft.

The 'e' is a motorcycle, the zk1-e is a moped - you can ride this at 16 in the UK.

What parts in particular Mano?
I use mainly Dave Silver. What is not widely known is that they share a database with other UK suppliers of old Honda parts.
With the 'e' restoration I found a lot of parts are common with the CD50/70, and what Dave Silver are unable to supply I've obtained from Vietnam & Thailand via ebay.
You are all probably familiar with the Dave Silver part number search engine, but here's a link..
http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/part ... rt-number/
I use CMSNL to obtain the part numbers and have also used them for parts (and Leertouwer, and Singa, and Rovaza), but avoid it if possible due to the high postage charges from Holland.
Chinese pit bike parts are in abundance in the UK, and are a valuable source of engine spares. You just have to know what is compatible with the Honda engine. For example the twin plate clutch from these engines are much stronger than the single plate Honda item and bolt straight in, though you do need the correct primary gear (67T), and adjust the final drive gearing to suit.
Also, a lot of the pit bike transmission gears fit onto the Honda shafts and offer a choice of ratios, the gears are also wider, and therefore stronger, than the Honda originals - I use pit bike 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears in the 110 motor, with the twin plate clutch, and a high flow oil pump - also Chinese.
I've not had any issues with quality or reliability of any of these parts so far.
I have several spare Honda, and Chinese engines, and spend a lot of time seeing what fits and works between the two.

Well,
I for one am looking for a side cover for my CD50 (left side), and also a headlight like the one you have on your ss50e
complete with speedometer.
Mind you, as cheap as possible off course (He-he, I am Dutch after all

)

I'll keep an eye open Mano. We also have regular bike jumbles in the UK, do you have these in Holland? - I have had some really got finds at some of these.
Those parts you mention, I have seen those recently on ebay uk, they sold fairly inexpensively! I didn't buy them because I didn't need them.
