My Kymco kpipe recently started having electrical problems. It first started with only the e-start not booting up the motor, it makes the usual sound but doesnt start it, with kickstart it starts in one kick. While idle everything works fine except for the dash, it spikes up to 70kmph when im idle and turns on and off constantly. But i can use the Horn or signal lights. When im driving everything is dim, so the Horn, my lights and signal lights and my throttle also stutters if one of these is on while driving, most with signal lights but if I honk it also stutters and if i have my headlights on it doesn't go full throttle. Everything worked fine and then it broke down one by one and now it keeps getting worse, so now my e-start makes a really weird nose when I press it so it doesn't sound normal anymore. I can drive it fine but only if I don't use turn signals, headlights or my honk. Any idea where this issue could lie? The people I bought it from did a real number on the wires and it's all a mess down there says the garage the last time they fixed it, so they said they'd rather give me a whole new set of wires and all and that would be 200€ with an extra 300€ for installation and I don't have the money for that right now so I'm searching an answer for where I can start looking for the problem.

De mensen van wie ik hem kocht, hebben een echt nummer op de draden gezet en het is daar allemaal een puinhoop, zegt de garage de laatste keer dat ze het hebben gerepareerd, dus ze zeiden dat ze me liever een heel nieuw stel draden en zo zouden geven en dat zou € 200,- met een extra € 300,- voor installatie en ik heb daar momenteel geen geld voor, dus ik ben op zoek naar een antwoord waar ik het probleem kan gaan zoeken.

Download a color wiring diagram, specialy for your type moped, print it in color, en check all the wiring.
That is the only thing you can do. Or the garage. But no money.
So it must be a DIY.
And you can try a new battery.
Nobody can help you from behind a keyboard, mostly impossible.

The Battery will be the problem. also the CDI is a DC-CDI so if the battery is bad then the rest wont work perfectly.

Had something like this recently it could be a battery iseu but unlikely becouse you can drive with it. the more likely option is that youre dynamo/generator is slowly dying. geusing replacing that bad boy is max 100 for a scooter? but basicly with most vehicle's youre not using youre batterij when driving the power that youre using is from the dynamo/generator. if that is giving less power than normal i wil be enough for normal driving. but it wont be enough for lights and normal driving as lights take a lot of power. hope it helps!
